You can't buy me from
Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, or Krispy Kreme.
You can't pay me for some extra cinnamon, sugar, or sweet créme.
I don't come in tall, grande, or beurre.

So, what is a
MULATTO?
A person of mixture.
Some brown sugar mixed with a little bit of regular.
A person, who may be beautiful, but confused.
Am I White?
Am I Black?

I got my
Chocolate Mama,
long, curly, thick hair....
Milky Daddy,
Putting on suntan lotion but still his pale skin burns in summertime
My caramel brothers and sisters
Just like me.
We don't mind the constant stares when we stride along the street
For we are
Beautiful and proud.
I am coffee with cream,
Sugar and cinnamon,
Chocolate and vanilla.
Sprinkle me with nuts and glaze me with caramel.
Put me in a tall, wide mug.
Throw in some strength and culture.
Stir in some richness and originality.
Garnish me with love and some newfound pride.

There was a woman who had a husband. Well, then her husband was in the bush, and she had another man. But when her husband went to the city, then the other man said to her, said, ‘If you love me, you must let me come sleep in your house.’ Then she said to the man, said, ‘All right. My husband is in the city, I will let you come. I am going to dress you in one of my skirts and blouses, and I am going to tell my husband that you are my sister from the plantation.’ Then when she dressed him in
the dress, then that night he came there. And the woman told her husband this was her sister.

Then at night they went to sleep. But in the morning the woman went to the market because she sold things. Then the man lay down upstairs. But when the woman’s husband saw she did not come down, then he went to look, and he saw a man. Then the man was angry. He took a stick and came running to the market towards the woman. But when the woman saw him coming, then the woman took a piece of paper, then she read and cried. Then, when the man came he said,
‘What are you doing?’ Then she made up a speech. ‘Hm! I just received a letter that all my sisters on the plantation have changed into men.’ Then the man said, ‘They do not lie, because the one who came to sleep with you last night, that one, too, changed into a man.’ But the man did not know how to read. That is why the woman deceived him
with such a trick.

Children and animals can't lie/ front/bluff. they don't see the need. it doesn't' occur to them. they are unaware of the art of presentation. It is honesty in its purest form. I doesn't need any words. They walk naked and barefoot and unashamed. sit on the dirty floor, they will proudly show you the way to all the empy beer cans in the basement, they will truly disregard the mess. They are absolutely and perfectly unconscious of themselves. The threat of your opinion is truly unexistent in their minds. Ignorance/Innocence is happiness. Ignorance/Innocence is peace.
